Frequently Asked Questions

u

Do you provide life jackets?

Yes! We care about your safety! Always wear a properly fitted life jacket that is in good condition. Per Georgia State Law, a coast guard approved PFD must be kept within arms reach at all times on the water. Every child 13 years and under must wear a coast guard-approved PFD.

What should I bring?

  • Water and Snacks– Make sure to stay hydrated and nourished on the river. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase before getting on the river.
  • Water Shoes or closed-toe sandals are best.
  • Sunscreen- Don’t turn into a lobster.
  • Cell Phone in a waterproof container- You will need to call for return shuttle service. Place any valuables you bring in at least two layers of protection.
u

What should I NOT bring?

  • NO Styrofoam cups
  • NO Glass (bottles, containers, etc)
  • NO Coolers or other large items- large coolers make the boat top-heavy and you will not be able to secure them properly. If you need a cooler, recommend small lunch-box size.
  • NO Unneeded Items- We recommend leaving valuables in your car. EAC is not responsible for any personal items lost or damaged on the river.

Can I bring my child?

Children must be 8 years or older to ride in our shuttle. If your child is under the age of 8, you will need to arrange transportation. Give us a call if you have any questions. Children 13 and over who are able to pilot their own boat can do so under adult supervision. Children under 13 years of age must ride in a tandem. We may not be able to provide life jackets for children under 50 lbs. Please bring your own life jacket just to be safe.

Can I bring my dog?

We love K9 Friends! Please use a leash, bring poop bags, and a PFD(optional). Don’t forget your dog gets hungry and thirsty too! Bring extra food and water!
