Kayak Camping Excursion

Join us for a guided 16 mile float and Camping Trip down the Etowah River! The trip departs from River Park in Dawsonville, Georgia at 10:00am (EST), where we will then paddle into Dawson Forest. After entering the Dawson Forest WMA, we will set up camp on the river and spend the afternoon exploring the area, swimming, and enjoying good company. EAC will provide a full hammock camping set-up, including hammock, rain fly, and sleeping bag. Meals and dry bags will also be provided. In the morning, we will break camp and paddle the rest of the way to Eagle's Beak Park, in Ball Ground. On the way, we will stop at waterfalls and other unique features on the river.

What should you bring?

• Georgia Hunting/Fishing License or Lands Pass (Required for Entry into Dawson Forest WMA)
• Water Shoes or Sandals/ Camp Shoes
• Water Bottle (We will have a water filter for refilling water)
• Bug Spray
• Flashlight
• Weather Appropriate Clothing (Bring a change if you'd like)
• Snacks! (Bring Lots!)

Is fishing permitted?

• Yes! Although we may not have time to fish along the way, you may fish from camp or on the river after we have set camp. If you would like to fish, bring your gear, and cast a line!

Cancellation Policy:

 If we must cancel due to dangerous weather or river conditions you will receive a full refund. If you must cancel, please give us 24 hours notice for a full refund.
